The Volgograd orphanage is located in deep Russia and was established in 1937. It is one of the oldest such homes in Russia. There are 99 children who live here. They range form 3 to18 years of age. This orphanage is designed only for 70 children thus the conditions are cramped. But the biggest problem is that our children's home has major financial difficulties.

The Russian government allocates the only $26 for one orphan per one year. This sum is insufficient to even feed all the children. Conditions of living are awful. The roofs of the buildings have been leaking for a long time and will continue to do so until the director can come up with money to repair it. But the biggest challenge is to have enough clothes and footwear for our kids.  In the winter the buildings are often not heated, because we have no money to pay the bills.
