Armenia is located in the south Caucausus and it is the smallest of the former Soviet Republics. It is a land of rugged mountains and extinct volcanoes. Agriculture makes up 35% of the gross domestic product. Recent war with Azerbaijan which ended in 1995 has left many economic hardships for the Armenian nation.
